African, Caribbean and mixed skin beauties have
unique features. If you find you have thicker lips and beautiful cat-eye shaped eyes, it is best to play up your eyelids with jewel toned eyeshadow in matte. You don't want any of that cheap stuff that will wear off in an hour or the sparkly stuff (save it for soirees and teenagers). Get a quality, matte eyeshadow palette and a eyeshadow brush and play around with the colours (hint: two shades look more tantalizing than one!) and also, keep your lips nude if you are going to play up the eyes. Your lips are naturally pouty and beautiful, so you don't need anything more than a nude or beige lipstick or lip stain. Adding a bit of colour to your cheeks brings out the definiton of the cheekbones and adds dimension to your nose, opt for a nice raspberry or a gold. Forego the eyeliner in favour of lash-lengthening mascara.

Darker goddesses should go for something like the

Eyes: Women, splurge on this one. A very good mascara is the
NARS Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara and it's only $25 USD. I think I'll need to get this one! It will add a nice feminine touch, for sure. There's a large NARS section in Sephora stores in Toronto.
